Notifications Settings
The Notifications settings pane manages how Weavestream sends notifications on your Mac. Open it from Settings (Cmd+Comma) and select the Notifications tab.
#
macOS Notification Permissions
Weavestream uses the macOS notification system to send alerts. The first time a notification is triggered (either from a workflow or the app itself), macOS will ask for your permission.
The Notifications settings pane shows the current permission status:
- Allowed — Weavestream can send notifications
- Not allowed — Notifications are blocked. You'll need to enable them in macOS System Settings → Notifications → Weavestream
If notifications aren't working, check this page first to make sure permissions are granted.
#
Workflow Notifications
You can enable or disable notifications sent by workflows. When enabled, Notification nodes in your workflows will send macOS notifications. When disabled, those nodes are silently skipped.
This is useful if you want to temporarily mute workflow notifications without editing each workflow individually.

How Notifications Work
Weavestream notifications appear as standard macOS notifications:
- They show in the Notification Center
- They appear as banners or alerts depending on your macOS notification settings
- They include a title and message as configured in the workflow's Notification node
For mobile notifications, use the Pushover node in workflows instead, which sends push notifications to your phone via the Pushover service.

Tips
- Check macOS settings if notifications don't appear. macOS may have silenced them via Focus modes or notification settings.
- Use Do Not Disturb if you want to pause all notifications temporarily without changing Weavestream's settings.
