Apple Notes
Weavestream can pull in your Apple Notes as data items, making your notes searchable and analyzable alongside your API and RSS data. You can ask the AI questions about your notes, search across them, or include them in Smart Filters.
#
Enabling Apple Notes
In the sidebar, find the Notes row (marked with a yellow note icon). Toggle the switch on the right to enable it. Weavestream immediately syncs your notes on first enable.
No additional setup or permissions prompt is required — Weavestream accesses Apple Notes via AppleScript, which works automatically on macOS.

What Gets Imported
Each note becomes an item in Weavestream with the following fields:
The full note data (including all fields above) is stored as raw JSON, so the AI can access and search the complete content.
#
Syncing
Notes sync automatically every hour. To sync manually at any time, right-click the Notes row in the sidebar and choose Sync Now.
#
Browsing Notes
Once enabled, selecting the Notes row in the sidebar shows all your imported notes in the item list, just like any other data source. You can:
- Search across note titles and content
- Sort by date modified or title
- Use Smart Filters to find notes from a specific folder or containing certain text
- Select a note to see its full content in the detail view
#
Using Notes with AI
When you select the Notes row in the sidebar before opening a chat, the AI agent is scoped to your notes. It can search, filter, and analyze your notes to answer questions like:
- "What notes do I have about the project launch?"
- "Summarize everything in my Meeting Notes folder"
- "Find all notes I modified this week"
You can also include notes in Smart Filters alongside API data. For example, create a filter that combines items from a helpdesk endpoint and your Apple Notes to cross-reference tickets with your own notes.

Disabling Apple Notes
Toggle the switch off on the Notes row in the sidebar. Your imported notes items remain in Weavestream's database until you manually delete them or re-enable and sync.
